Manhattan’s Luxury Home Market Recently Had It’s Strongest Week In A Year

New York’s luxury home market recently had its strongest week in a year for luxury home sales. 

A total of 40 luxury properties, priced at $4 million or more, went into contract in Manhattan during the week of May 8-14, 2023, according to Olshan Realty’s Luxury Market Report With $300.44 million in sales, it was the biggest week since May 2022 with 43 contracts.

“It was the largest weekly total of the year and the largest since the first week of May 2022, when 43 contracts were signed,” explained Donna Olshan, president of Olshan Realty, in the report.

The week before also performed well with $242.8 million in sales with only 10 fewer contracts at $4 million or more. The week following had 27 contracts for luxury properties listed at or above $4 million.
