Buffalo Predicted to be One of America’s Hottest Housing Markets for 2024
Zillow released their list of “Hottest Housing Markets of 2024”, based on predicted home value growth, number of homeowner households, amount of home construction, and labor market changes.
Even with home values expected to decline 0.2%, Zillow predicted Buffalo, N.Y. to top the list as the hottest housing market for 2024. Thanks to steady home values and a recent increase in job creation and new home construction Buffalo is expected to continue to attract buyers to the city throughout 2024.
Cincinnati placed second in Zillow’s list for top home markets for 2024 greatly due to previously experienced high-market velocity. With low inventory, Cincinnati’s listings spent some of the fewest days on the market in 2023 and are expected to continue this trend into 2024 with generally fast sales compared to other markets.
Columbus, Ohio, comes in third, and Indianapolis and Providence, Rhode Island take the fourth and fifth spots on the list of Zillow’s predictions for the hottest housing markets for 2024. Atlanta, Georgia, Charlotte, North Carolina, Cleveland, Ohio, Orlando, Florida, and Tampa, Florida take the next five spots.
