Born in Newnan in 1949, Chip graduated from Newnan High School in 1967 where he served as President of his class three times and as President of the Student body. He later graduated from Emory University with a degree in History in 1971 where he was President of his class and Mercer University with a J.D. Degree in 1974 where he was Chief Justice of the Court of Honor.
Chip is Associate Broker, Vice President and Co-Owner of Lindsey’s Inc. He was first licensed as an agent in 1968, and has been a full time broker since 1978, and is a member of the Georgia Bar since 1974. Chip was named Coweta County Kiwanian of the Year for 2018. He was 1991’s Realtor of the year and he is Vice President and a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Georgia MLS. He has four times been the Chairman of Deacons of the First Baptist Church, was a past Chairman of the Board of Newnan Hospital, a past Chairman of the Board of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber Of Commerce, as well as the United Way, and a Past President of the Newnan Kiwanis Club. He is a past member of the Advisory Board of Directors of BBT, and Chip, also, three times served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Mercer University. He is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Club and has received the Crystal & Silver Phoenix Awards.
Chip and his wife Margaret have three children and seven grandchildren. Chip currently resides in Newnan with his wife Margaret, and his family.
